Geocache Description:

I have placed this and other caches along portions of various trails in Hartman Creek State Park. This is one of two caches along the Pope Lake Hiking Trail on the east side of Hartman Creek State Park. This is part 4 in a 10 part series to find GC59XM1 'Hartman Creek Trails: FINAL'. This cache contains one part of the coordinates to finding the FINAL.

A nice hike through the pines on a loop which will overlook parts of Marl Lake, Whispering Pines and the Pope Lake State Natural Area. From near this location there is a good view of Pope Lake. At one time a nature trail existed near here which led down to the north and via a footbridge, crossed Hartman Creek upstream from Pope Lake, and eventually came out on Knight Lane east of the parking/launch area.

All of the caches in this series should be winter friendly.

Please note that certain trails are designated only for specific modes of travel; please consult a trail map from the Park Office for each trail section that you utilize.

Hunting is also allowed in certain areas of the Park during designated seasons - please check at the Park office for more information.

The Geocache Notification Form has been submitted to the property manager for this land parcel, Michael Bergum, Park Superintendent for Hartman Creek State Park. Geocaches placed on Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource managed lands require permission by means of a notification form
