On a hot and humid Sunday in July, DNF Hound, KatAndDave and I came to this park to cache our way around these hills. We started our hike in a nice cloud cover, but as we trudged up and down these hills, avoiding poison oak and snake holes, the temperature crept upwards into the mid 90s. All in all, we walked through the park for 5 1/2 hours, logging sixteen finds with only one DNF. Hot and a bit worn out, I admit that I was useless for the final two or three finds, but my partners rallied on. This park is full of fun hides, including a few mystery caches that you shouldn't miss, but shade is scarce, so bring plenty of water and plan the adventure for a cool day. While this park is cache heavy (what's not to love about that?) we decided there was room for one more to commemorate our grand adventure. Happy caching! Watch out for snakes...and possums.
