Lumberton's First Geocaching Event! Event Cache

WHEN:  Saturday, August 16th at 10:00-11:00am

WHERE: Northeast Park, Linkhaw Rd., Lumberton, NC 28358

*FYI: This event qualifies for the Socializer for the 7 Souviners of August. In addition, another geocacher pointed out the date of this event is also International Geocaching Day!*

When I first started geocaching about a year ago there were only 8 published caches in Lumberton. As of this time we are approaching 40 published caches. As such, I thought this would be a good opportunity to bring others to the area to see what we have to offer. Once at the event you can either just stop by and sign the log or stay for a bit before departing. Also, for those wishing to go caching after the event, I will personally make sure all the caches in the area are in place and ready to be found on the day of the event (read ... no DNFs!). 

There is a multi-cache in the park the event is being held. Nearby are several puzzle/mystery and traditionals as well as a nearby earthcache in Red Springs (GC3MPVQ) for those wanting to pick up a few others souviners. Please note there are few puzzles you might want to look at beforehand if you plan on geocaching after the event: GC4XCXF, GC577QJ and GC56148.
