Torpet Lövholmen har troligen anlagts någon gång på 1850-talet och dess ensliga läge var nog inte så ödsligt som man idag kan uppfatta platsen, då trafiken på sjön Rottnen var livlig gick antagligen vägen från byarna Linnehult, Ugnanäs och Skälholmsryd mot sjön alldeles förbi stugan.
Vid 1900-talets första år bodde här Gustaf Carlsson med familj, de var de sista bofasta på platsen
och efter deras flytt såldes stugan för att återuppföras på Nygatan i Hovmantorp.
Även vid detta torp fanns det en liten ”industri” då Gustaf var träskomakare. Sysselsättningen och utkomsten för de boende på Lövholmen var förutom skötsel av torp och dess små åkerlappar, säkerligen arbete åt bönderna i trakten samt även fiske kan man tro, då platsen endast ligger 400 m från sjön.
Croft Lövholmen has probably been built sometime in the 1850s, and its solitary position was probably not so desolate that it currently can detect the location, when the traffic on Lake Rottnen was lively, the way from the villages Linnehult, Ugnanäs and Skälholmsryd towards the lake went probably just past the cottage.
In the early 1900s years lived here Gustaf Carlsson with family, they were the last residents of the place, and after their move, the cottage were sold to be re-erected at Nygatan in Hovmantorp.
Even at this cottage there was a little "industry" when Gustav was wooden shoemaker. Employment and livelihood of the croft of Lövholmen was besides maintenance of cottage and its small fields, certainly work for the peasants of the neighborhood, and even fishing can be believed when the place is located only 400 m from the lake.
