11:00am - 11:15am Flash Mob in front of the Ferber Sculpture in Ottumwa
Intersection of U.S. HWY 63 and Woodland Ave.
What is a flash mob? A flash mob event is simply a 15 minute event in a public location such as a mall parking lot. In this case it will be in front of that 18 foot tall piece of abstract steel art created by Herbert Ferber. We don't care if you hate it or love it, just be there! There will be a log book to sign and a few photo opportunities. The idea is to congregate at an exact moment and then to disband quickly, exactly 15 minutes later.
To make this more festive and to celebrate International Geocaching Day 2014, we request you wear luau attire (pull out those old Hawiian shirts!) and bring a lawn chair so you can relax properly as you admire (or scoff at) the always controversial Ferber sculpture. As a bonus, the lovely Team Spank8401 will be handing out leis while supplies last!
Not only should this be fun, but it will be a quick way to obtain your event cache for the 7 Souvenirs of August.
Remember, this will all happen within 15 minutes!
Please add a note stating your intention to attend.
