Originally the trail head for this southern section was a few hundred yards north of this cache on Foley Road and you would probably not have been able to get the fine view over the river near this cache without a good deal of bushwacking. With the fine efforts of the volunteer workers who maintain the IAT, this portion of the trail has a newer southern trail head at the intersection of Foley and Cobbtown Roads - the WRR 57 cache is hidden near this trail head.
A larger parking area is also located along Foley Road and from here a short blue marked spur trail runs west towards the river and intersects with the main IAT. At that intersection you can take the IAT north to the Scenic Route loop or south towards Cobbtown.
Another trail head is located farther north on Foley Road. From here the IAT initially starts on private lands before making its way south to the WRFA lands and the northern part of the Scenic Route loop. The Foley Road Cabin (N 44 23.363, W 089 13.173 - which is available for a rustic overnight stay if you like) is located along this northern section of the IAT through the private land. More info about this cabin can be obtained at http://waupaca.iceagetrail.org/foley-road-cabin-info.
Whichever route you choose to take, I hope that you enjoy this section of the IAT and the caches.
Please be aware that bikes, horses and off road vehicles are NOT allowed on the IAT.
Also please be aware that hunting is allowed in this area at various time of the year.
