Quarry Cache
This cache is located in the lovely Marford Woods/Gresford quarry. The area is owned by Maes y Pant, who have very kindly permitted the use of their land for Geocaches. Please take the time to enjoy the area, and find the caches in the area.
The cache is off the beaten track, and the coordinates may be a little off, so it could take some finding!
The cache is found in the quarry area of Marford Woods, this makes for a pleasant ramble, however a significant proportion thereof is offroad; hence rendering it unnavigable for wheelchair users. If you enter the quarry via the path coming off Pant Lane (the one next to the community centre), you must bear in mind that you will have to make your way leftwards, which may involve ascending a very steep incline. Whichever way you take, you will almost inevitably arrive at one of two paths. In both cases you will have to turn into the forest (the replanted one in clear straight lines) near its northernmost point. Then make your way towards the clearing indicated by the coordinates provided. The cache is semi-buried beneath pine-needles and sticks between two close trees. The cache itself consists of a small plastic box within which is contained the log (by the way, you should bring a pencil in order to record your finding, for there isn't one contained inside the cache).
