Cache is a clear plastic jar containing a number of items (key
chain, chalk, C$100, butterfly magnet, fozzie, ...) along with some
GeoQuilt Squares as part of the Canada GeoQuilt project.
The GeoQuilt project has come to a close and the squares have
all been sent in and assembled into the final product - but the
cache is still there and it's a beautiful area to explore. So enjoy
the cache and have fun exploring.
This is a great area for waterfowl watching - lots of Canada
Geese, Snow Geese, many varieties of ducks and gulls.. If you
follow along the trail a little further there are great spots for
bird-watching. We hope you enjoy this area as much as we have.
(Hopefully you'll be there on a less windy day -- the lake was a
mass of whitecaps today).
This cache was hidden as part of the Canadian GeoQuilt Project.
Hundreds of quilt squares were placed in caches across Canada for
geocachers to sign.
The GeoQuilt cache locations included: Vancouver Island BC;
Hinton AB; Calgary AB; Edmonton AB; Regina SK; Winnipeg MB; Toronto
ON; Toronto East ON; Ottawa ON; Montreal QC; Labrador NF; Gandor
NF; and Halifax NS.
Once the squares were signed, DxChallenged assembled them to
form a uniquely Canadian GeoQuilt.
