Geocache Description:

The original intent of this cache is to experience one of the Ridges/Door County Coastal Byways Nature Tour caches which is in the process of being developed with the cooperation of The Ridges Sanctuary and the Door County Coastal Byway Scenic Corridor.  A Nature Tour Passport will be developed when we release 4 or more of the caches.  In the meantime plaese follow the directions below for your prize.

One hundred years ago, the Fish Creek dock was a bustling portal to a summer vacationland.  Arriving tourists, decked out in elegant cloths, waved cheerfully as steamers delivered them from the summer heat of Chicago and Milwaukee.

Asa Thorp, one of the first settlers in Door County, was drawn to Fish Creek in 1855 to create a town.  He and his hired men built a pier and cut cordwood to fuel steamships on Green Bay.

Peninsula State Park protects the largest contiguous tract of Niagara Escarpment in Wisconsin. This limestone ridge was formed by the deposits of ocean animals, plants on the floor of an ancient sea.

When you find the cache, you will discover a code word/s attached to the inside cover of the cache. To collect the prize you must list the code words for all FOUR or more Ridges/DCCB Nature Tour caches.
