Welcome to the 'Hundred of Whyte School'. It's a student free day today. In fact it's been student free since 1955 when the school closed, 21 years after its opening. It wasn't uncommon for these rural schools to have short lifespans with the Whyte Well school, for example, opening in 1916 and closing in the same year.
