Geocache Description:

Third in a series of well...some of random facts about "This Day in History".  Let's start with the basics; this cache was placed in the height of growth/tick/thorn season wearing shorts and sandals, and I came out clean.  Don't bushwhack!  Very close to a clear trail, which is a clear side trail to a very clear trail.  There are several nice spots along the way to watch and listen to the tranquil creek flowing.

GPS was slightly bouncy in here, so coords might be a few feet off (my eTrex showed accuracy to 19 feet)

On this day in 1981 – MTV begins broadcasting in the United States and airs its first video, "Video Killed the Radio Star" by The Buggles.  Wait, MTV used to show music videos you ask?  I know...sounds weird.  Go to the youtube on the interwebs to find out more.  The Buggles, were never really heard from again, perhaps after killing radio stars karma killed their career. (To be fair, members of the Buggles ended up doing very well for themselves in the heat of the moment...)

Anywho, you're looking for a camo'd peanut butter jar because the snack bag for the far more famous tip of your finger snacks isn't weatherproof (Bugels....anyone....is this thing on?)  Room for some small swag, and a log, and a pen.  Please hide this as well or better than you found it to prolong its life.  I'm not sure about night caching or hunting concerns.  I didn't see any information on either, however the cacher should always cache responsibly.

For more info on the history or future of this area, visit the nearby caches of Future Neabsco Trail or better yet Tayloe's Iron Works...you won't be disappointed.

Lastly, feel free to share other tidbits on this day in history, including your own. Is it your birthday, anniversary, cool caching experience? Share below. Congrats to RobbitandPaul on FTF!
