Geocache Description:

This cache is a nice drive by Johnson's Wash in Johnson's Canyon along Johnson Canyon Road. As you drive up the canyon from Kanab you will see several large geological pillar formations we named Johnson's Army. It is a great drive up a very nice canyon on the way to this section of the Grand Starcase of the Escalante Monument.

The cache is hidden on the old Gunsmoke Movie Set. It was interesting coming out here after completing the Little Hollywood Series of caches in Kanab and saw all of the films and movie stars that were in them. I watched Gunsmoke a lot with my father growing up and was very nostalgic to me. It is pretty run down. Be very cautious as you look around and be careful not to step on any nails.
