Geocache Description:

***The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates***

3.1415 are the first digits of pi. It will be another 100 years before the date matches the first 5 digits of pi(3/14/15).

First a quick lesson on pi

The number pi is a mathematical constant, the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter, commonly approximated as 3.14. Pi is an irrational number and the decimals are infinite. The first recorded algorithm for rigorously calculating the value of pi was a geometrical approach using polygons, devised around 250 BC by the Greek mathematician Archimedes and is also referred to as the "Archimedes Constant". 3/14 is also Einstein's birthday.

Now the Puzzle

Using the infinite digits of pie, if the puzzle says"3rd" you would substitute the 3rd digit of pie which is 4.

Stage 1

N 1st, 8th 7th, 33rd . 51st, 3rd, 21st

W 6th, 3rd 4th, 10th . 33rd, 20th, 11th

Stage 2

If you solved stage 1 correctly, you should be standing in the middle of a circle or pie shape. From here using the same substitution method I am providing Bearings and Distance.

Bearing: 17th, 22nd degrees

Distance: 29th, 13th, 32nd feet

If you have solved stage 2 correctly, you should be in the vicinity of another familiar shape. You are looking for my favorite cache container, I call it my "Modus Operandi". If you have found "North of the Square", "Grand Slam", "Oakes Cemetery", or "The Bats of Crystal Cave", you have seen this container before. It is only big enough for a log so bring your own pen. Cache title should also help with any Alpha-Numeric Challenges.

Good Luck!

Congrats to TNT06 with the FTF!
