Geocache Description:

Congrats on FTF to keck888!!!

I don't believe this will be to hard, and I will have to watch it to see if it stays long.  Should be a quick PNG.

I was driving by the big boy the other day, and... no not the restaurant, I am talking about Atlanta Motor Speedway.  One of my favorite mile and half tracks on the NASCAR circuit.  I really enjoy racing, and so with eager expectation of the race in August this year, I decided to get a cache in the area.  I drove to the back side of an office complex to find this cache, when what to my amazement, I actually found the cache.

No, not really, I was amazed that inside this lock-n-lock was a TB name Racing Buddy!  He has traveled far and wide, and I bet started near the Michigan Speedway, so I am going to the race in Atlanta and this guy is going with me!  Okay, but you ask, what does this have to do with the cache, right?

You will find that this cache is placed near a distant cousin to AMS.  The local dirt track is the heart and sole of NASCAR history, without these training grounds, we would not have NASCAR.  I new when I saw this dirt track, that my racing buddy would love to have his picture taken with it as well.  So we stopped, and got a picture.

Well, while we stopped, I pulled up the app to check for Geocaches and sure enough, the opportunity was there.  Well, this old track has recently shutdown, and has been sold.  I pray that track opens again soon to give some young driver that chance to prove his skills.  But until that time, the memory will lie in this cache, what a great place to race on a saturday night.
