Tappoch Broch is an ancient dry stone fort at the summit of a small hill in the midst of Tor Wood.
The cache is a small lock n lock type box along the path through the wood just before you reach the broch. A waypoint is given to the start of the path which winds up the hill to the broch. It is rough and muddy in places so stout boots are recommended.
Please ignore the car park symbol on the map as this area has been blocked off with boulders. Parking is available on Glen Road.
If you are interested in the history and construction of the broch an internet search should bring up plenty of interesting reading.
