Hidden deep in the woods of the Black Hawk Wildlife area this unique cache container is stuffed with lots of swag to trade. There is a stamp, ink pad and stamp book as well as a regular log to sign inside the container.
Notes from the trail.
* The trail to GZ is down hill all the way. It will seem like a breeze on the way down but it is also up hill all the way back out.
* The trail is mowed half way down then turns to knee high grass with tire rutts. If the grass is wet then you will be too. This will change depending on the season.
* Most of the trail is a T3 but the last 150' to the cache is high weeds, thistles, briar bushes and thorns, rotten logs, hidden holes, poison ivy and then limestone bluff. This bumps the T rating to a 4.5. This too can change with the season.
* Don't forget to visit the other nearby caches at Black Hawk Wildlife Refuge.
Please remember that all caches in the Jackson County Conservation Areas are CITO locations.
