To spice it up a bit, I have placed a small container, with the log inside, at the location of the coordinates. It is hidden in between the rocks. I have placed several sheets of paper inside, as I do not know how many people will show up. I tried to hide it so that no muggles would get to it, but if a geocacher was looking for it, they could find it. Please replace in same hiding spot.
Lets start at 6 pm, and go for about an hour. If you have kids, you can let them go play on the field or playground (you can too if you want
), but in general , if you wish to speak to other cachers, you can hang out near the log site. The path may have joggers on it at times, so you could sit on the grass and enjoy the view while you talk.
You do not have to stay the entire time, but i do ask that you sign the log. It is not required, however. At least try to stay for several minutes, seeing as not doing so defeats the purpose of ‘socializing’. Say “Hi” to someone new!
Food will not be provided, but there is a drinking fountain at the pavilion. Sorry.
I have placed a big-ish container at the site. This way, you can place any trackables that you wish. My friend will probably be placing a already-activated trackable (one that he has picked up from some other cache, but still needs to pass along…you know the drill) inside of this container anyway, so that you can all ‘Discover’ it. He may even allow one of you to take it and pass along yourself.
If you place a trackable, I will make sure that my friend gets it, as I am sure that he will pass it along soon. He travels a lot, so he will definitely find a good cache for it
.
Well, I think that’s it. If there is any more info I need to provide, I will add it here. If you have any questions or other suggestions of what to add, you may send me an email through the link on my profile on Geocaching.com. Thanks
