Geocache Description:

This is part of a series of caches along one of the most beautiful trails in South Florida. (West Lake South Trail)   Each cache is dedicated to one of the animals that lives in this amazing preserve.  If you are quiet and have a keen eye you will not only find the caches, but you may see some of the wildlife too!

The Green or Carolina Anole is a lizard found in the southeastern United States and some Caribbean islands.  This guy is like a chameleon as he can change colors--from bright green to brown.  Anoles are not true chameleons as they are related to iguanas. The males are territorial and will fight each other when confronted.  Anoles eat small bugs, crickets and spiders.  They are about 6-8 inches long and can usually be spotted in trees or resting along rocks.

This cache has a pencil and some small swag for the FTF.  Please re-hide it as you found it-securely. You can park for free at Anne Kolb Nature center and then follow the path to leave the park. The path goes under the bridge and straight to the trail. Trail hours are 8 am- 7:30 pm daylight savings time and 8:00 am- 6:00 pm eastern standard time.

Congrats Lphill and Tracymegan FTF!
