The journey to find the cache is along well made gravel and tarmac paths towards the high point of the park. Along the way you may see  the wrought iron ‘miners' banner' sculptures created with children from Shiney Row, Burnside, Dubmire and St Michael's schools, a bridge with handrails made of miners' pickaxes, and a Miners' Memorial to commemorate the sacrifices made during 400 years of industrial activity on the site. There is also a lovely pond with nesting birds.
The cache is a small plastic container with a blue lid.
