Geocache Description:

The World's First Satellite TV concert was performed here January 14, 1973, a memorial (and my cache) was placed to honor the entertainer and this milestone.

TV Land, the TV network that plays reruns of American classic sitcoms and other TV classics has been placing statues throughout the United States. Some of the other statues include:

Ralph Kramden Statue in New York, NY

Andy Griffith Statue in Raleigh, NC

Mary Tyler Moore Statue in Minneapolis, MN

Bob Newhart Statue in Chicago, IL

Bewitched Statue in Salem, MA

Fonzie Statue in Milwaukee, WI

This Statue was the first to honor an actual person and not a fictional TV character...
