Magnetic Micro Tube. Log Sheet - NO PEN
Robert Blinkhorn was born in Maidstone, Kent, but moved to Gloucester in the early 1840s.
He set up a Drapery in Eastgate Street with his wife Eleanor in 1843.
This grew to be an important local business but eventually ceased trading in 1953 when it was sold to F. W. Woolworth & Co.
He became a director of the Gloucester Railway Carriage and Wagon Company and remnained so until his death in 1888. He was also an Alderman of the City of Gloucester.
This cache is placed at Blinkhorn's Bridge which carries train services into and out of Gloucester Railway Station.
It is now part of a new walk-through to "a new large supermarket"; the path has convenient seats and has been fully landscaped.
