Geocachers all over the world are busily working to earn the 7 souvenirs of August. A few folks in the metro area asked me why we were not having an event in Jackson. Well, it seems to me that they could put one on as easily as anyone, but for some odd reason they came to me, so here it is! Come join with your geocaching friends, non-geocaching friends, or anyone else you want to bring as we celebrate the end of the summer, back to school, VAT3's birthday, or anything else you want to celebrate. Hey, do we really need that much of a reason to party?
Once again we will meet at McAlisters' in Ridgeland, 731 South Pear Orchard Rd. near Northpark Mall, on 08/28/14, 6:00 - 8:00 pm. The food is good, and this is an excellent way to meet the other geocachers whose names you see on the logs. Come out and celebrate with us, tell your favorite geocaching stories, swap some geocaching lies, or just sit back and relax, getting ready for the long Labor Day weekend. If you have a geocoin collection you want to show, by all means bring it on! In any case, Come on out and share in the great food and time.
