Geocache Description:

A beautiful short loch-side and woodland walk arrives suddenly at a viewpoint where you feel like you are soaring above the myriad islets of the estuary and the vast flatness of the Moine Mhor National Nature Reserve.

From Barnluasgan walk either side of the beautiful loch and follow the waymarkers to the viewpoint.  You walk through an ancient woodland landscape that has remained unspoiled since the ice age and consequently has a great wealth of species.  Take a picnic to the picnic table at the viewpoint and watch the birds flying below you and the boats slowly pass along the canal.  You may be lucky enough to see ospreys diving for salmon and trout.
