This event is a simple meet and greet to acquire the August souvenir. I have been searching for an event to attend this month, however, most are out of range for me so I decided to host one. Nothing special here, as I haven't had enough time to plan, but hope to meet other geocache crazy people like myself, see what the local interest is around here and maybe talk about future events. I wish I had the cash to hand out geocoins or patches for this event, maybe next time. If you need help getting your 6 badges, maybe we can help with that too.
The plan is to meet in the White House park from 4pm to 6pm Sunday August 31st. Nothing like last minute huh? I hope to acquire the pavilion located at the posted geocoordinates, if not, it'll be in one of the smaller pavilions towards the front of the park. I'll update this event should something change so make sure you "watch" this event if you plan on attending. Kids and dogs are welcome.
Do post on the log if you plan on attending as it may influence what we do (if anything). If you have ideas or wanna bring food etc. please share in the log below as I am still new at this (<40 finds). Hope to see you there.
