Circle lake is a beautiful lake to have a solitary moment. There are no power boats allowed, but if you like canoeing or kayaking, you'll love this little paddle. Once upon a time, that gate would open up and you could make the narrow drive down to the dock. Alas, no more so it's a bit of walk (while carrying a boat) to the lake. I highly recommend you take the walk down to the water...it's beautiful especially in the autumn! There is a picnic table, a deck, dock and an outhouse and really interesting interpretive signs along the path. You'll find another cache "Gooseberry" along the path too!
This is a popular area for hikers, canoeists and snowshoers in winter (I've never been out here in winter but I'm assuming the roads are cleared since there are so many snowshoe trails)...please be careful of muggles!
