We are new to the area and would love to meet the other active cachers in the New Forest / Dorset-Hampshire Borders area. Cachers from other areas are also welcome.
If, like us, you missed the Rising Sun/Picnic event, and you do not own a boat, and you do not wish to engage with the heaving crowds at the Bournemouth Air Festival - but you still want to earn that precious, last minute souvenir for the Geocaching Seven Souvenirs of August gimmick, then this event could be for you!
Pay and display parking is available at the waypoints provided. Campervans up to 3500 kg are allowed in the car parks. There will probably also be parking available on the street.
The Beachcomber Café is licenced and serves an array of food. Well-behaved dogs are welcome, inside and outside. We will probably not bring our dogs, however. Plus, we are not sure how far the noise will carry from the air show, so that could be a consideration for nervous dogs. The beach and cliffs are also dog-friendly.
We will bring a few TBs for people to discover, and we will, of course, have a log book.
As this is a quickie event, we will not be arranging food or drink for the attendees but since we will be using the Café's premises, we will probably at least grab a coffee or something stronger.
