This is one of a number of caches highlighting the original system of tracks and lanes around the village. Unfortunately it is not a nice circle because so many caches already exist in the north of the Parish.
This lane was a major thorough fare before the Pill was bridged in Bideford opening a direct route at all states of the tide to Northam. The main entrance to Kenwith Castle but not the farm was through the hedge opposite.
