Additional Information

If you missed last year's Caching Games you will not want to miss this year's. This is the final Caching Games event. If you did come last year and remember how arduous it was, prepare yourselves. This year's event is a virtual caching event that will test not only your physical stamina, but also your powers of observation.

A digital camera or other photo recording electronic device is required for all who participate in the caching portion of the event. You will not be able to participate properly if you do not have a device that can take and save pictures.

The following is a list of recommended items to bring:

  • A pen or automatic pencil
  • A map of the area
  • A watch with a timer
  • A GPS receiver (not the smart phone app)
  • Some drinking water
  • Comfortable shoes
  • A hand towel

Finally, there are several small paid parking lots throughout the Kokusai Street area, on the main street and on several side streets. Pricing varies and usually includes a flat fee for the first hour to two hours of use, and additional cost in 15 to 30 minute increments after that. Bring enough yen to cover the time that will be spent at the event. Anticipate at least 3 hours for the event, at a minimum.
