Ansty Pub Quiz Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Smallduo: It seems this cache has escaped into the canal!

It’s time for me to archive it.

Many thanks to all of you who solved the quiz and wrote delightful logs about your quests to find it ~ especially those 19 who gave it a favourite point! 😊

Geocache Description:

Some time ago vix92008 had a puzzle cache: "Rose and Castle Pub Quiz".  That is now archived but vix92008 is happy for us to produce a second quiz for the village of Ansty.  [We have chosen to give a nod to a couple of her original questions.] So this is an easy little quiz, intended for a bit of fun.

The given co-ordinates are for parking at the back of the pub in Ansty.  It is on the main road but right next to the canal where I used to spend many happy hours during my childhood.  I lived in the nearby village of Shilton.

Of course, there is also limited parking in the village itself.

The cache is hidden at N52°AB.CDE, W001°FG.HIJ.

AB ~~ The number of inches that a net for Lawn Tennis is high, minus what (K+F+L) is worth in Scrabble.

C ~~~ The number that is unlucky in Italy, minus ‘zece’ (in Romanian)

D ~~~ Pottery is the traditional gift for which numbered Wedding Anniversary?

E ~~~ Simple Minds song: W ? W C  (a number in the title)

FG ~~ Number of fluid ounces in a gill (British Imperial measurements) plus the Century in which the Second Boer War began.

H ~~~ Searchers Song: L P N ?  (a number in the title)

I ~~~~ The cube root of 512 minus the cube root of 64

J ~~~~ The number of wives Charlie Chaplin had, minus the number of moons the planet Mars has.

Once you have the co-ordinates it is a short walk to the cache.

You will need your own pen and maybe tweezers to extract the log. Please do not dismantle the cache container, merely remove the top. Thank you.
