This cache is located near the Village of Yunku. Note that, once you get onto the cenote road, you will be driving first gear on a VERY rocky and bumpy single lane dirt road for about 1.5 to 2km. There is a rocky hill in the road just prior to the geocache. If your car does not have sufficient clearance, you might decide to park your car there and walk the rest of the way.
The cache is near Cenote San Marcos, a natural sinkhole/swimhole. The cache is NOT in the cenote. There are some spectacular rock formations in this cenote and is a must to see! There is a very sturdy steep staircase down to the cenote with a good size landing, plus stone stairs to the water. The cenote is crystal clear and it is recommended that you have a swim in the refreshing water. Some areas in the cenote are quite shallow while others are extremely deep.
BRING: Camera, Swimsuit, Goggles/Snorkel, Drinking Water
