Proud Scout Mom(PMS) is an act of love of one mom to her extraordinary Boy Scout. This particular Boy Scout makes the lives of those around him better for having met him. His name is Robbie and he lives everyday being amazing with autism and severe ADHD.
This cache commemorates my son earning this merit badge with the rest of his amazing troop the summer of 2014. Although one of the most agonizingly boring Eagle required merit badges we did it together learning along the way.
The lesson we learned from this one is to follow your dream no matter what anyone says about it. The final question on the workbook is to write about what you want to be when you grow up. My darling boy lives for LEGOs. He said a Master Builder bad to work for LEGO. His merit badge counselor said that wasn't a real job. We went to LEGO Kidsfest and talked to a real Mast Builder who said last time he checked that's what was on his paycheck. He not only designs and builds those great masterpieces of LEGO art but he does packaging and the KidsFest shows across America.
The merit badge couselor really had no comment when he came back to the next meeting with a signed ticket of a real Master Builder.
