Zampettava nel Triassico medio e cioè 220 milioni di anni fa. Anche il Tirannosauro Rex era un teropode. Un'altra caratteristica dei teropodi è che le zampe posteriori erano dotate di tre dita, proprio come gli uccelli. E infatti si può dire che i nonni degli uccelli siano proprio i teropodi. Per vedere alcune impronte a tre dita di Kayentapus in Lessinia è necessario andare alla Bella Lasta; si arriva a San Giorgio, si lascia la macchina e ci si incammina verso passo Malera. La Bella Lasta è situata a sud di cima Trappola, scendendo per un centinaio di metri lungo il sentiero 287 in direzione del rifugio Pertica.
Prima del ghiaione una tabella, sulla sinistra, indicante la Bella Lasta, porta alla base del grande lastrone giurassico, da visitare con MOLTA cautela considerando che la sua pendenza si aggira fra i 30° e 32° gradi.
Le orme al momento della collocazione della cache si potevano osservare sulla bancata salendo di pochi metri sopra la breve galleria da trincea aperta quasi al centro della lasta: un segnaposto rosso indicava la prima coppia di impronte tridattili attribuibili al teropode Kayentapus, poi la pista proseguiva con altre impronte simili. Nel 2016 le impronte sono state prelevate e sono ora custodite nel museo di Camposilvano.
Al centro della Lasta, vicino alle impronte, si trova una piccola cavità, utilizzata come postazione di osservazione e difesa fino alla prima guerra mondiale, punto posto sul confine che divideva l'Italia dall'impero austroungarico, che attualmente ricalca il confine Veneto Trentino.
Verso il basso invece un’altra pista con cinque impronte circolari di notevole dimensione, quasi 40 centimetri ancora non attribuite ad uno specifico dinosauro, sono in fase di studio ed approfondimento.

Controllate prima di partire, con cura, gli "attributes": per arrivare alla cache è consigliabile indossare buone scarpe da trekking, scegliere una giornata senza pioggia e procedere sulla lasta se ben asciutta. Maybe not everybody knows that in Lessinia dinosaur footprints were found, in 1993: more precisely of Kayentapus. The Kayentapus was a theropod, that is a biped, he walked on his hind legs and was carnivorous. He lived in the Middle Triassic: 220 million years ago. The Tyrannosaurus Rex was a theropod. Another characteristic of theropods is that the hind legs were equipped with three fingers, just like birds. In fact, one can say that the grandparents of the birds are the theropods. To see some footprints of the three fingers of Kayentapus in Lessinia you need to go to the Bella Lasta; you get to San Giorgio, leave the car and walk towards Malera pass. Bella Lasta is located south of cima Trappola, down to a few hundred meters along the path 287 in the direction of the refuge Pertica. Before the scree a table, on the left, indicating Bella Lasta, leads to the base of the big Jurassic slab, to visit with EXTREME caution considering that its slope is approximately between 30 and 32 degrees. The footprints (see waypoint) may be seen climbing on the bank of a few meters above the short tunnel present in the center of the rod: a red balloon indicates the first pair of three-finger footprints attributable to theropod Kayentapus, then the trail continues with other prints similar. At the center of Lasta, close to the footprints, there is a small cavity, used as observation post and the defense until the First World War, the point on the border that divided Italy to Austro-Hungarian empire, which currently follows the border Veneto-Trentino. Check before you go, with care, the "attributes": to get to the cache it is advisable to wear good walking shoes, choose a day without rain, and proceed on the auction if very dry.
