It’s been a few years since The Parrots held a Christmas Dinner and we would like to invite you all to celebrate with us once again.

We began with Christmas in the Caribbean and now we are going to the Himalayas and you might even see pictures of snow.

SET MENU FOR SEATED ATTENDEES

$40 per head

Entrée
(Pre Plated with one piece each of the following):
Served with fresh salad and traditional chutneys

1.       Samosa
Traditional crispy patty, prepared from black lentils, potato, cabbage, spinach,
chickpea flour blended in traditional Nepalese herbs.

2.       Tareko Machha
Deep fried fish marinated in Nepali herbs, lightly battered with corn flour and mustard oil.

3.       Chicken Momo
Steamed chicken dumpling with ginger, garlic, spring onion & coriander.

Mains: Served with Steamed rice and Naan bread

1.       Khasiko Masu
Traditionally spiced Goat curry enriched with fenugreek, cinnamon, tomatoes, bay leaves.
(Restaurant Special Delicacy)

2.       Piro Kukhura
Lightly battered chicken fillet pieces pan fried with onion, seasonal vegetables, chillies and capsicum, flavoured with soy sauce and vinegar.

3.       Machha Tarkari
Aromatic fish curry (Barramundi) cooked with onion and tomatoes infused with the flavours of green chilli, ginger, garlic, fresh coriander, cardamom, cinnamon, yoghurt, vinegar and coconut milk.

Accompaniments: Served with Mains

1.       Rayako Saag
  Stir fried mustard leaves with chilli cumin seed and a dash of mustard oil and butter
  (Restaurant special delicacy)

2.       Misayako Tarkari
  Mixed vegetable curry of cauliflower, green beans, potatoes with spring onions and fresh coriander.

Dessert:

Laal Mohan/Gulab Jamun
Traditional sweet prepared from milk powder flavoured with cardamom and rose water, served with lightly sweetened homemade creamy yoghurt. (Off the menu item created especially for the event)

A Vegetarian version of the menu at the same cost is available just let us know if you require this.

*THIS IS A SMALL FAMILY RESTAURANT SO PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU TELL US HOW MANY ARE ATTENDING SO WE CAN LET THEM KNOW HOW MUCH TO PREPARE.*
