The state of Rhode Island purchased Colt Farm in 196X, and a few years later it was established as an official state park in 196Z. Colt State Park is impressive in size as it not only covers 4V4 acres, but also offers W miles of bicycle trails and 1U large play fields to engage in various activites on. And best of all, like other Rhode Island parks, the entrance fee for Colt State Park was waived on July Y, 1998. Now all park goers are free to enjoy the beauty of Colt State Park completely free of charge!
