Grevillea steiglitziana (also known as the Brisbane Range Grevillea).
It is found nowhere else in the word but here, between September and January

Geocache Description:

It's spring time, and the famous wildflowers of the Brisbane Ranges are starting to bloom!

Join us for a lunchtime BBQ at Stony Creek.
Come earlier if you would like to hike the scenic Ted Errey circuit before the BBQ.


When : Sunday 21st September, 10am to 2pm
Where : Stony Creek Picnic Ground, Brisbane Ranges.
What : 10am - hike of the Ted Errey Circuit (9km).
12pm - BBQ. There are many picnic tables around. Bring and BBQ. Wood BBQs (and limited gas BBQs) are available.
Who : Anyone who loves nature. Or BBQs. Or both.
Why : Because it's spring. Because there are wildflowers.

The easiest access to Stony Creek is to drive along the Geelong-Ballan Road (C141), and then drive into the Brisbane Ranges (S37 52.360 E144 14.756) and travel north along the gravel Switch Road to the picnic grounds.
