tootgarook wetland is a little known magical part of te peninsula. although not widely known about its actually quite huge but vast majority of it is actually privately owned, by either farm or by land reserved many years ago for a freeway extension.
the friends of tootgarook wetlands run regular bird watching days in this area and are trying to protect the area from any future development to save the wetland in its natural beauty.
the cache is just a short walk up a path that runs along side chinamans creek into the wetlands.
