Weldon, NC is an extremely popular place for catching striped bass, also known as rockfish. Recently rockfish have been appearing all around town! This cache will take you to see a few of them. The final location is great for some family time. There is a park, walking track, and a pavilion with picnic tables if you’d like to enjoy a snack. There should be plenty of parking available. If you do go during fishing season, it will most likely be very busy. The park also has a boat launch, mostly used by the fisherman. Peak fishing season is from early April through May.
