Geocache Description:

The Village of Bartlett Illinois  was established in 1873 when Luther Bartlett, a wheat farmer donated a portion of his 40 acre woodlot to the railroad. This cache is to draw attention to the founding pioneers and our agrarian heritage.

I love history, especially the late 1800s, in the Village where I live. This is my first cache to hide and I wanted to make it fun and educational at the same time, to show off the history of this area. It is in a park south of historic downtown. The first to find is invited to take the Heritage medallion created by a local artist and the next 50 get a historic button (please take only one). Hope you enjoy it as much as I had putting it together.
