Geocache Description:

Out enjoying the trails at Franklin Falls. I have been trying to think of something to do for my first hide and I came up with three. I grew up nearby and played near Gile Pond while never knowing about all the trails here until just a few years ago.

I have always wondered what this area looked like in the past as there are old foundations and a mysterious wall. Even a rusty bucket. I can only imagine how the landscape changed after the 1936 flood and the later construction of the dam. Might be fun to research the history and find old photos or a rusty bucket.

The cache is a lock and lock hidden just off Rusty Bucket. With bucket in the name, how could I not mention NHBucket? Use caution on the trails as bikes tend to go whizzing by. I feel that the trails are for more advanced riders. I would recommend a nice hike. Take the time to enjoy all that Franklin Falls has to offer! The coords may be off due to heavy tree cover. Congrats to NHBucket for being the FTF!
