Creek Stomping Adventure...too Traditional Cache

This cache is located in the Highwood Mountains.  More importantly, it is on the road between Thain Creek and Geyser.  This road is not for the weak of heart, actually, it is in pretty good shape but not good for such vehicles as corvettes or other sports cars.  SUV, truck, and some cars should be ok. 2 stream crossings,  up to 24" deep.

If you have been fortunate to find Creek Stomping Adventure, you KNOW you had the potential to get wet on that one...this one, your vehicle will get wet with 2 stream crossings that, depending on time of year and creek flow, could be up to 24" deep (I have seen it deeper in the early spring, so use caution).  This cache is near that 3rd stream crossing if coming from Thain Creek Campground (about .8 mile from the Thain Creek campground junction).  This cache is placed in such a way as to give you an option on staying dry or getting wet (dependent on the creek levels of course...on day of placement, I did not get wet!). If you come from the other side of the creek, you will get wet!.  There are one or 2 more caches further up the road leading further into the highwoods and a few back towards the campground!  There is parking in a trailhead pullout about 50-75 yards before getting to the creek.
