The Adur recreation ground is a lovely green space, allbeit in close proximity to the A259 and the constant droning of traffic. I am told that this space is reclaimed land, and a wonderful local resource it is too.
Its a favourite spot for dog-walkers and families.
It also serves as a great starting point for longer river walks along the Adur. It can be quiet but can also be extraordinarily busy as it is often used for weekend boot sales, for circuses and funfairs and for overspill parking when events like the airshow come to town.
This cache is tucked away in the perimeter woodland - watch out for foxholes, low sharp branches and plants whose only aim in life is to scratch or sting you. The container is a 35mm film pot containing a log book. It has been moved slightly from its original, somewhat exposed position due to muggle intervention. The new position makes retrieval a little more difficult - a hands-and-knees job if ever there was one. Do be careful of low, sharply cut branches!
