As a resident of area under the Rocks, I am sorry, that marked tourist trails in the area, often leads just yards from the most spectacular view spots of Haligovske Skaly and that the tourists regularly passed those places by without even knowing it. Quite often I meet people asking of directions to those places just after they returned back and are frustrated they missed some nice photo shots. Therefore I have hidden the cache in a place which takes you through some of those best spots. Haligovske Skaly is a natural attraction and as usually such attractions also appears in the legends and local stories. As it appears since old times has Haligovske Skaly served as a hidings for bandits, partisans and also jews during the Second World War. Older residents of Haligovce remembers which jewish families were hidden in which caves and they say that many of those hiding were also burying their fortune. When i was a kid, my father told me a story of one jewish man who stopped by my grandfather on his visit to Haligovske Skaly after war has ended and on his return from mountain he was carrying something with him. After this visit my father discovered hole full of old wood digged in the Zbojnicka Jaskyna(in translation Bandits Cave), which has for him served as proof that there really were hidden treasures in Haligovske Skaly or still are even today.
Zbojnicka Jaskyna(Bandits Cave) is a small cave of size of a bigger room. It has three parts which i would call as entrance, main chamber, and backchamber. Mentioned supposed jewish treasure were hidden in the backchamber. Our cache is hidden in the entrance where you don't need flashlight, however if you wish to visit other two as well i would recommend to bring some source of light with you.
In front of cave is Zbojnicka Brana(Bandits Gate) which you can see on the picture above. There is an unmarked trail leading to this gate and cave which starts by the green marked trail at the only view spot it offers(So called Pomirek). For better orientation (this unmarked trail is not as apparent as it use to be) i have prepared few waypoints which i believe brings you safely to the cache. This trail winds itself over the ridge, therefore good shoes and especially caution is really important.
