Bicentennial Loudonville Ohio 1814-2014 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

sunflowersu: Time to archive. This was a fun cache, even though I had to replace it at least three times. Part of the tree housing the cache has been removed due to storm damage. I placed a new cache in the general vicinity yesterday, 5/22/2020. I will submit the info for the new cache this weekend. Thanks to all who visited this cache and enjoyed the scenery.

Geocache Description:

This spot shows a view of the valley nestled among the Mohican hills.  The village of Loudonville recently (August 2014) celebrated its bicentennial with a five-day fun-filled celebration.  There have been many changes in two hundred years, but the forested hills and flowing Black Fork of the Mohican River still remain.  With the adjacent Mohican Forest and State Park and Black Fork remaining, Loudonville has become the canoe capital of Ohio.

One may park on the street near the entrance, and enjoy a nice hike; or, drive up the hill on a paved road, and upon reaching the destination, have a park and grab experience.  Be careful making the turns.  Cache during daylight hours only.  Be respectful of surroundings and drive slowly (15mph).  If children are in the caching party, please be stealthy, so the attention of nearby neighbors will not be drawn to the cache.

BYOP; tweezers might be helpful. There is a FTF TB tag for the FTF. Do not plan on leaving other TB's or items for trade. Congratulations to Beachbum17 and Scoutmaster2012 for being FTF.
