昭和6年(1931)に建設されたこの配水塔は、当時児玉町内5,000人に水道水を供給するために設けられた高架水槽で、外見は塔型で内部の上層に水槽を設け、下層にポンプを配置しています。
全高は17 メートルあります。
現在、地域のシンボルとして保存されています。
