Another spice to add to the series, although it isn't a true spice on it's own, but a blend of several herbs and spices. The typical poultry seasoning you would buy at the store could have any combination of the following: Thyme, Sage, Marjoram, Rosemary, Black Pepper, Nutmeg, Celery Seed and Bay Leaves. I thought as we're heading into the cooler fall months, some of us might be doing more roasting in the oven to warm up the house. That's what I like to do. Plus the aromas of a properly seasoned bird, roasting in the oven, are delectable. At least I think so. I usually like to place the spice series caches near restaurants that utilizes a particular spice. This one has a bit of a twist, since there are none around this particular hiding spot. I live nearby and often drive down this long road to "nowhere" There is a lot of wildlife in the area such as deer, bears, and TURKEY, hence "poultry seasoning". Keep a watch out for what you might see. I would love to see pictures of any wildlife you might come across.
