First of all, remember that you are caching at your own risk! While this cache is not recommended for those unable to maneuver well, it is definitely possible for those in adequate physical condition. This cache has potential risk involved, so bring rope if it would make you feel more comfortable. Do not make foolish choices while acting as the Seeker. That being said, you shouldn't need to bring anything to assist you in the hunt. I'm only 5'3" and didn't need any help getting to GZ to place the cache.
Parking is available in the area; just pay attention to the signs. If you come after 6pm, you can park basically anywhere for free (you don't have to pay the meters after 6pm). Also, beware of muggles and use stealth! It's a busy area, but once you have begun your ascent, no one really notices you anymore (from experience).
Also, the log can be a little tricky to get out, so bring tweezers!
Be sure to screw the bottom of the cache back into the top as far as possible when you have finished! It sticks in a few places but should screw in most of the way.
In addition, use caution when removing the log so that you do not drop it. And if you do drop any part of the cache, please be courteous and put it all back where it should be before leaving. :)
Also know that a requirement to logging this cache online is to sign the physical log. If you forget tweezers, a pen, etc. please just log it as a "Did Not Find" and return later to sign the log. I will check periodically to make sure it has signatures. Thanks!
This should be a really fun cache as long as you use good judgment and stay safe. There will be a couple tight squeezes near the end as you approach the cache, and be prepared to get sticky!! I suggest bringing nail polish remover and cleaning up in a nearby bathroom afterwards before getting back into a vehicle. From experience, this will make your car's interior VERY sticky. But at least it will smell piney fresh!
From the ground, you will also find a sign describing this as the Kathleen D. Kennedy Memorial Tree. :) Just a nice thing to look for when you arrive. When the cache is in sight, you should be at a nice (but tight, depending on your size) sitting area. From there, just stand up, look to your left, and you will have a great view of the field below. Be safe and enjoy capturing the Silver Snitch!! :)
Congratulations to smokeyrobinson66 for FTF!
