TESTIMONI DELL’IMPERO
Il forte Cherle (in tedesco, Werk Sebastiano) è una fortificazione militare, situata a 10 chilometri da Folgaria, ad un'altitudine di 1.445 m slm, in provincia di Trento. Il forte appartiene al grande sistema di fortificazioni austriache al confine italiano. Il forte fu progettato nel 1909, e costruito tra il 1911 ed il 1913, in una posizione molto avanzata (2 chilometri dall'allora confine) con una forma triangolare andando a costituire il terzo caposaldo armato dello "sbarramento Folgaria".
Armamento:
-4 obici da 100 mm Mod 9, su torrette girevoli
-2 obici da 100 mm Mod 12
-1 osservatorio blindato
-2 cannoni da 60 mm Mod 10
-18 postazioni di mitragliatrice
guarnigione di 180 artiglieri e 50 landschutzen
I danni visibili sono stati causati dai “recuperanti”, ovvero coloro che, dopo il conflitto, recuperarono l’acciaio dalle strutture dei forti austroungarici facendoli saltare in aria con l’esplosivo.
EMPIRE WITNESS
The fort Cherle (in German, Werk Sebastiano) is a military fortification, situated 10 kilometers from Folgaria, at an altitude of 1,445 m above sea level, in the province of Trento. The fort belongs to the great Austrian system of fortifications to the Italian border. The fort was designed in 1909 and built between 1911 and 1913, in a very advanced position (2 km by the border) with a triangular shape going to be the third cornerstone of the armed "Folgaria barrier ".

-18 machine gun
-garrison of 180 artillerymen and 50 landschutzen
The visible damage has been caused by the "recuperanti", people who, after the war, recovered the steel from the structures of the Austro-Hungarian war buildings blasting them with TNT.
