Geocache Description:

A small cache containting a log only.  Bring a writing stick and enjoy the history located here!

This cemetery is one of the oldest in the Norton area with stones from the 1850's.  There are 2 churches on this land, Grace United Church of Christ and Trinithy Lutheran.  Both of these churches are built with stones from the earlier churches.  Originally there was one 2 story building that housed the German Reform Church.  Both congregations shared this building alternating Sundays.

Norton was largely unpopulated until after the war of 1812 when the German's from Pennsylvania and New Englanders began migrating West.

I am looking for any futher information people have.  Let me know!

Congratulations to Shirley & Joe, first to find!
