Thrown For a Loop Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Barngineer: I'm replacing this one with a new one called "Loop it and Swoop It." Boulder County doesn't want caches to stay in one place for any more than 6 months.

Geocache Description:

This cache is the new version of a recently archived cache called "Feeling Loopy."  You'll have to work a little harder for this one, as it's near the highest elevation point of Nelson Loop in Hall Ranch Open Space.

This is just off the Nighthawk trail near where it meets the Nelson Loop.   It's in a nice meadow where deer and elk like to feed.  Please note that bikes aren't allowed on the Nighthawk trail, though they are ok on Nelson Loop (in fact, bikes are really fun on Nelson Loop).  For now, you can't get to it from the Button Rock Preserve which has been closed to the public since the flood of September 2013.  If you get hungry, you should go get some lunch in Lyons.
