Meteoriten är bara en del av byggnaden på bilden och det är butiksdelen och serveringsdelen. Butiken böt namn till Meteoriten för många år sedan efter att man trott sig ha sett en meteor falla ner i ankdammen (dammen bredvid Meteoriten) genom isen. Troligen var det ingen meteor om ens något alls men Meteoriten blev namnet. Det finns en stor sten på framsidan nära dörren som skall föreställa en meteorit och det finns också en meteor kopia på fönstret på framsidan.
Butiken finns nu inte längre. Den stängdes i början av februari. På söndagar håller hela centret stängt.
I samma byggnad finns också HVC, tandläkaren, skogscentralen, apoteket och bibioteket.

Meteoriten is only a part of the building on the picture and it's the "store part" and the catering part. The store changed its name to Meteoriten many years ago after it being said that a meteor had fallen into "Ankdammen" (the pond next to Meteoriten) through the ice. Most likely there were no meteor, if anything at all, but Meteoriten became the name of the store. There's a rock close to the main entrance which is supposed to be a meteor and there's also a copy of a meteor on the window close to the main entrance.
The store is now closed since February. The whole centre is closed on Sundays.
In the same building there's also a library, a pharmacy, a health care centre, a dentist office and the forest central.
